Here is a video where you can clearly see their movement

Anyone knows why i got a bloom of these? And if they are harmful or not?

They can be seen with bare eyes, and i'm pretty certain they are not flatworms, as they dont seem to have a distinct shape

Just copepods, good guys. Edit, you probably mean the bigger blob things. Thought it was just a smudge on the glass at first glance…not sure….

Amoebas are single cell organisms if I remember anything from high school.

If you can SEE and video them on your glass, that likely ain't it.

Those are copepods. Small animals. They clean and feed about everything. If you're fishing phytoplankton, you will generally see numbers increase.

I don't believe that amoebas can be seen with the naked eye.

Have you guys seen the video? Its the big blob thing that changes shape. In the video you can see copeopods that are much smaller than the blob (which in no way resembles a pod)

I know that even though they are unicellular many can be seen with the naked eye.

Hey, @entranced I also have many of these in my system. I consider them a good thing because they seen to proceed a massive decrease in algae on my glass and sand. I have a microscope, I'll try to take a video to help identify what it is. From what I see in my tank I feel like its a type of giant amoeba.

ok whew I saw it today and was like what the heck is this.
