i am looking at getting a nano overflow kit for a ten gallon frag tank i am building. i have a mag 3 return pump already.

my question is, is it worth the extra 16 dollars to get the nano overflow box with teeth? is there any specific reason to have or to not have teeth on an overflow box? what about for a frag only tank?

thanks!

I think the teeth are to try to prevent fish from ending up in the overflow. In a frag only tank they are probably not needed. I would go with them and give yourself options with that tank in the future. 16 dollars now or a new overflow box and re plumbing later when you make the tank something else

You want the teeth. It keep large debre from becoming trapped in the overflow and thus slowing it down.

Nano with teeth all the way. Its also a bit quieter then the box W/O teeth. I also suggest getting the lid for it as well, again it cost a few dollars more, but worth it IMO.
