Was thinking of putting glass lids on my tank, there is alot evaporation and don't want fish to jump out. Does this make a big difference I have a 8x54watt tek fixture so there should still be alot light and there isn't acrylic shield, is this a bad idea I don't wanna waste the moey if it will have a big effect on thing.

I like running my tanks with screen lids in the warmer months to keep my tanks cooler. During cooler months I run glass lids to help keep the warm in and save on electricity. With glass you get so much more salt creep around. I prefer to run the screens, with an ato the evap doesn't really matter; but the salt creep is a pita when the tanks are covered.

Not so good idea.
I see your point on the evaporation but with a 8 bulb T5 you will be in for a lot of heat that can't escape and as result you could end up with a $800 chiller.
I would go the ATO route and as prevention for jumpers a screen.
Here a sample to what to expect from a screen as one of our sponsors build them custom, just forgot who it was as we have many sponsors.
The DIY screens are great too http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/diy-aquarium-screen-top-kits-1-4-netting.html

Yah my problem is condensation the wife is getting ticked at the windows in the morning maybe she can just live with it. I have to tanks atm a 75 and my 120 so maybe it won't be so bad when I take the 75 down wich is soon
