Looking to invest in some suction cup movers to lift an 8 foot 240 gallon tank. Anyone have any recommendations for a good set?

I’m wondering about 4 sets of these.

I use those for the smaller tanks, like 60gal-90gal.

For anything larger, i would not use anything but an IMT.

IMT is the same brand they loan you at most LFS, and that they use at most automobile windshield replacement places.

Maybe its just me... but i would not think spending a extra 30-40 dollars on quality movers would merit me risking them failing on a 2-4 thousand dollar tank.

But thats just me....

I am a firm believer of you pay for what you get... unless its a hobby tax... like a Reef tax because they put the words REEF in front, or Gamer Tax, because it has a bit more LED's and the words GAMER spammed all over it.

I have asked movers, and professionals, and they all say if i want something quality and that they trust and have been using for years, its IMT.

I absolutely agree.

I do agree, I know I have asked about the cheaper ones before. How many would be a good number to move the 8’ 400 pound tank?

Those are the ones I added to my cart. Curious if two sets would be enough. One set for each person on the short end and at least one person on each long side without the cups.

That's a heavy tank.
I would use 4 pairs (if you have enough people). Spreads the weight nicely. and your able to lift it quite high.
Do not use them on a painted glass. I removed my paint before we moved the tank.

Anyone tried these?
Yes I used them for my 90 gallon move. They worked well. I stored them as the manufacturer states. However we build and install windows and those cups are amazing. For the average person though much too expensive. They are 500 each. I would have used those but I like my installers to keep their gear.

We just moved a 220 with plain old Harbor Freight suction handles. (We also had a backup appliance carrying harness between the two guys.)
