What is a good, not so expensive paint I can use to paint the back of my tank glass? I have a 29g tank so I don't need to cover a lot of area. Is there a spray paint I could use or would it be better to use a different method?

Any spray paint will work. I have found that flat paint works best for whatever reason. Just take your time and do a lite coats. Best of luck

Do I need to use some kind of primer first? If I just start painting it will the paint peel a few months or will it be alright for a long time?

No primer necessary. Just make sure you clean the glass well before painting. If done correctly it will hold up a long time. My current tank was painted 2 years ago and moved once, paint still looks like it day the day I painted it.

So something like this would work right? Only a buck something too lol

Yup. Just clean the glass well. Tape off and spray. I like to use flat black. The glass will make it look glossy regardless. I always buy the cheapest I can find. I do a few light coats and then check with a flashlight in and out to touch up any spots I missed.

I don't have experience with that particular paint but I can't see any reason why not. I normally use krylon or rustoleum. No other reason than that's what is easy for me to get.

Any black spray paint will work man.
