Glass tank bottom protection

What is being used nowadays to protect the bottom of the tank (or just to have it black) to be bale to place big heavy stones?
The ones that I am about to use cannot be put on egg crate as it just breaks.

Is there something I can get to glue and cover the complete bottom?

Star board is the most commonly used product nowadays for tank bottoms for protection and to provide coral with a good surface to grow on if going bare bottom.
