So I'm looking for other tank options. Looking for something 5x2x2 130g-180g glass reef ready. I've seen glasscages and Red Sea but too expensive. What other manufacturers are there on the East Coast.

Thanks

Your best bet under $1500 for a 180 is probably aqueon or marineland. Check with your LFS or petco and have them order you one.

Any builder is going to be as much or more than GC in my experience.

For budget builds I love SCA, I would inspect the tank well before setup to clear up any issues you find with SCA but for the money I think they are offering the most value.

I just ordered a 280 from here. I haven't seen it yet.

The price at the top is for just the tank.

Shape: Rectangle
Style: Full
Frame: Traditional
Dimensions: 24" x 60" x 24" (HxLxD)
Base Price: $1,215.00

I think shipping would put you at $1500

Used tank was a great suggestion. May be able to find something even larger or acrylic or possibly tank and extra's.

You can go custom and fall under that price easy in most cases. Give Concept Aquariums in Calgary, Ca a call. I know it is outside the US but I ordered a 210 gallon from them, steel stand, and shipping and it wasn't much more than that. Few other shops mentioned here so I believe you can do it easy. Just make a couple calls and you are set.
