Not 100%. It appears to be. Great question.

I've been fooled a few times by marks on the outside of the glass that I couldn't get to scrape off for the Life of me.. until I wiped them from the outside and made it disappear.

That is true. The tank manufacturer responded to my email; they said to contact a class company specializing in polishing glass. I will give them a call.
