I typically use glass tops on my QT to minimize evaporation and jumping but have been wondering lately if I am limiting gas exchange and available O2. Up until recently, I have never lost a fish in QT and this made me reevaluate e my entire QT procedure and equipment used.

I use a 20 gallon long tank with a HOB filter. I could run an air stone if anyone thinks that would help. I may dose prazi and will treat as needed otherwise.

thoughts?

New to quarantining myself, but I use glass tops and a HOB as well. I run an air stone 24/7 just because it seems to be frequently suggested when medicating. Perhaps consider using it when you're dosing medications that can result in bacteria blooms etc.

I just got a Cadlights 60 cube and it came with a glass top. Was also wondering whether to use this or screenmesh?

Screen mesh provides better gas exchange, is lighter, blocks less light, and isn't a hazard as far as breakage. The disadvantages being mesh will have increased evaporation, could potentially allow some fish to jump out of small holes or areas that are exposed due to equipment. Generally for a reef I'd always advise mesh over glass.

^^ This. Oxygen deprivation can become an issue in QT when using meds, or especially when mixing them. Example: Prazipro + copper.
