Glass top

Ok I have a rimless tank on the way and doesn't have a glass top. Was wondering if anyone knows where I can get one. Tank is 24x24 and was thinking about getting something cut around 23-1/2 x 23-1/2. Thanks for any help.

You probably won't find one that is exactly what you're looking for. A 24" square top might be available, but you'll likely need to make something so it stays on a rimless aquarium.

Your best bet is to go to a glass shop and get it done according to your own spec. It's actually quite inexpensive if you go to a reasonable business.

Why a glass top? Condensation will definitely build up, leaving behind nasty looking water marks and calcium buildup. Big time PITA
Have you looked into the custom fit mesh tops? BRS sells the kits pretty cheap.

You could just hit the glass shop for something, just ask them to grind the edges down nice. I'd go with 1/4" glass. Although I personally wouldn't use glass. It can filter part of the light spectrum and can screw with gas exchange. You could get a screen top kit from BRS as an alternative. It can also reduce PAR when its gets dirty.

I was going to use starfire glass. Found a place that has it for $50 shipped and gut to my size. I would go with a screen top but I may end up putting a garden eel in it and want a sturdy glass tip. How does the screen mesh work?

1/4" mesh built into a custom made frame cut to fit any tank size. Whether it be rimless or not. I'm sure some sort of locking could be added to keep an eel in
