hi...Thinking about upgrade it soon...I hve used both glass and acrylics over the years...just wanted to get an impression what my reefers out ere prefers or hve what glass or acrylic tanks...>>!!!!!!

I dunno, personally when I think of an aquarium I think glass...acrylic just doesn't look as nice IMO. Especially if you're going with an open top.

Glass.

I would say it depends on how big the tank is going to be. If your over 350 , 400 gallons than I would go acrylic. Yes acrylic scratches but starfire glass scratches also. Just not as easy.

you can sand out acrylic while inhabitants are in I have helped do it, sure it scratches easier, however you cannot buff out the glass

I prefer starphire glass, but it seems to scratch a little easier than regular glass. I'm pretty bummed about a couple scratches that I can't buff out.

glass is heavier too, I have a 460g acrylic in the garage for next years build, I will just have to be more carefull

500 acrylic here. I don't have any scratches that are noticeable. You just have to be careful. Weight was an issue so went with acrylic.
