Ps the blue pipe on your skimmer is upside down [emoji4]

This rock I want to order is quarried. Do I still need to do that stuff? The site says no but I want to make sure.

I'm not too familiar with quarried rock. Then again with everything in this hobby, I'd rather be safe than sorry. At the very least let it soak in an empty tank with SW for a couple of days and test for phosphates. If nothing registers you'll probably be good to go. If you do see phosphates you can then think of treating the rock.

Another thing I just noticed - aren't you running a bean animal setup? If so where are your two other stand pipes?
No, no bean. I have an airtube coming out of the elbow at the top. I think that's called durso? There's no syphon.

So I have a very tiny leak on the overflow side. Like one little drop every 5 minutes. Any chance this will go away?

I hate to say it but the leak won't go away by itself. If anything it will increase over time. Something is wrong for it to leak and if not fixed you're looking at trouble down the road.

Is the overflow side a new leak? Wasn't your earlier leak on the return? I would inspect the gaskets and bulkheads and make sure there is no visible damage. It might just be a matter of taking it apart and reseating. Make sure you don't under or over tighten them.

The return one is s fixed. This one always leaked, and this is the best it's been. I so do not want to take it apart again. Grrrr.

Lol it's ok. I have an sca 302 only reason I knew [emoji854]
So do I need to do anything with the little acrylic cylinder with the airtube attached to the left of the collection cup? I'm assuming that's the air intake but honestly have no clue.

Do the bulkheads and gaskets look like they're in good shape? Sometimes you can get a bad set of those. I assume the leak is right where the bulkhead meets the glass? Have you put the gaskets on the correct side? Just throwing out thoughts...

Yeah the small tube like container is the air vent. As long as the tube is connected to it that should be all you need to do to it.

The stuff all looks good. Yes the leak is where the bulkhead meets the glass. The gaskets are where they need to be. I did spray paint the back of the tank and the surface isn't totally smooth. Could that be it?

Unless the paint is really gooped on there that likely isn't the problem. How much of an uneven surface did the paint create? It is only paint right and not any debri stuck in the paint?

Yea, flip that around to and connect the silicone tubing coming from the pump to it. that will quiet the air noise more.

Happy reefing! [emoji41]
