Hello! I would like to start wearing gloves for tank maintenance. From your experience, what do you find is the best type of gloves to use?

Thanks!

I use the extra thick blank nitrile gloves from Amazon. They hold up really well when handling rocks and corals, the thin ones tend to break on you. They are the Diamond Glove Black Advanced brand.

Awesome! Thank you all.
My skunk does the same thing! I do hand feed it sometimes.

Me too! Sometimes I stick my hand in there with a shrimp pellet (feeding shrimp to my shrimp seems wrong sometimes) to hand feed him and he doesn't pay any attention to it. Seems he would rather crawl around on my arm than eat the food half the time. My Yellowtip Hermit pinches me often and tries to eat me. I've got two clowns in there who always swim right up to my hand too. Not shy at all. How big is your tank? You new to the hobby?

Ha thats cool! I've had my tank running for about a year and a half. Only started adding fish a few months ago. Just been doing as much research as possible. My tank is a 40 gallon and I am in the process of finding something a little bigger and adding a sump. Inhabitants are a 6 line wrasse, a royal gramma basslet, 2 skunk cleaner shrimp and various snails. Had a beautiful snowflake clown that died. With a bigger tank id like to try to introduce a pair of clowns and an anemone. I just noticed yesterday that the one skunk has hundreds of little eggs underneath her! Not sure what will come of this, but im guessing everyone will have a feast if there's baby shrimp in the tank.

Got these off Amazon I think coral life makes them.
They go all the way up to the shoulder .
I got them after I got cut on my finger and suffered a nasty infection.
But to be honest with u I never use them because they are kinda bulky and I end up knocking stuff over .
Pic was to funny not to put up lol

lol nice gloves. Nice pose! The cut on your finger, did it come from the tank? Sorry to hear about the shrimp eggs. You may be able to save them if you separate them from the inhabitants. I don't know what their called, but don't they make little screen things for babies? Sorry my vocabulary is lacking here. I'm still kinda new at this. :-p

The Cut did come from tank but not sure the result of the staph infection was from the tank.
That night after I cut myself I went into a sauna and I think I got the infection there because it was a non salt water staph.
