Will you recommend to glue the corals directly on the rocks in the tank or to glue them to new plug and just put plugs in the tank?

I'm asking because I tried to use those little round plugs, i removed the coral from the one from the shop and re-glue them on new one to reduce pest in the tank. but with the flow in the aquarium, the plug move and fall from the rock in the sand.

when I glue them directly on rock, if they are not at the good place, it is hard to remove them and it let glue on the rock.

Not sure which one if the better way of doing it?

always on a plug. can never be too sure about placement and it gives you some time before it encrusts on the plug in the event you have to move it

edit: the “nub” of the frag plug can be cut off to make the plug flat for certain cut faces but you can also use @Printed Reef’s plugs as well!

If you want to glue the frag plug to the rock, it sometimes helps to cut the stem off the plug so it's just a flat disk

I just glue them down, live by the glue and die the glue. Sometimes I regret it, but its still usually pretty easy to pry off the glob of glue gel. Usually.
