So I recently bought some corals and they have been doing great! But I bought them glued/pasted to some type of rocky like plate. I'd prefer to glue them to my rock in the place they are currently in. I'm not really feeling the look they have now . Is it possible to take them off of the rocky plate they are currently on? Thanks guys!

Definitely looking to use that product ! But how would you suggest I get the coral off the piece it is already connected to ?
you could cut it off if don't hurt the coral or your self. IMO this piece that is attached actually helps. Envelope it with the epoxy. Do this in 2 stages. 1) attach coral to the place you want it. Wait 2-3 hours 2) Make up some more epoxy and cover the top of the mount. ( this stuff is like a putty and can be molded by hand)

I would like to know the answer to the original question myself. How do you get coral off what they are attached to (plugs, shells, rocks, ect.)???

Does this have to happen under water ? If not how long can a coral stay out of the water ?
No to all. I don't know as it relates to each coral, but I'm sure you have a couple of minutes. This process should take less than 2 minutes anyway. 1) fastest(be careful and blade has zero oils on it) 2) slow(not a clean cut) 3) a little dangerous to say the least(do over a bucket of water) 4) could have real poor results to say the least in your case

I frag my Acro's with a bone cutter fairly often with ease.
