Glueing/epoxy rocks under water

The epoxy won't adhere to the rock so you'll need to add something. @Webslinger had good ideas and I tweak it slightly. I make an epoxy ball and make a sandwich with super glue on the top and bottom.
Epoxy will harden into the form you want and the superglue attaches it while filling in the tiny crevices. Rock-superglue-epoxy-superglue-Rock. Hold firmly in place for at least 30 sec if not a minute or two depending on size of rock your attaching.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I’m having second thoughts on doing this now. Was told the plates are a detritus catcher. Food. Fish waste. Etc will get caught on the plates. Now I imagine I could always turkey baste the rocks to free detritus but that would create other issues correct?

Yes gently or you can aim a powerhead across it ( Not at it) to keep it free of waste

To anyone who comes across this now I was using instant ocean hold fast. Worked very well. I tore my tank down during a move and when I took the rocks out I was pulling out 2 or 3 at a time because of the epoxy. It definitely works on rocks.
