Glueing frags

My birds nest I have tried to glue to my rock keeps getting knocked loose by my turbo snails I’m guessing. I cut the nub flush on the frag plug and applied a generous glob of super glue gel onto the bottom of the plug and held the frag in place till the glue cured. I’m wondering if any of you have any tips that could help me or if I should just keep trying the method I’m doing l?

I like to cut the frag off the plug. I also use a Battlebrush (a stiff toothbrush is fine) and scrub the location clean. Bio film, algae, detritus, etc. aren’t great surfaces to glue to. I’ll put a dab of super glue on the frag, enough to make a ball shape and then stick it in place with a dabbing and twisting motion to get the glue to stick. That said, urchins and big snails will sometimes knock frags over. It’s part of the gig.

Clean the area/ rock you are trying to glue to first, and underneath of frag plug, any adhesive like super glue only sticks to clean surfaces, takes longer to cure underwater as it dries from outside in, try and aquriam epoxy as you can mix to speed up curing/ drying time

Drill a Small hole in the Plug so you can slightly recess the Frag. Use a well worn regular drill bit, not a masonry bit. I have better results with the Loctite Gel bottles with the Squeeze Levers. After opening, seal the bottle in an old Child Proof Pill bottle, to keep it fresh.

Weird, I thought superglue was water reactive.

Superglue is set by hydrolysis, so touching water will speed up drying,
Yes your correct but OP says it's not working so a clean area is best option I can suggest

I have no experience with this, but I have read several different experiences that mounting frags to the side, instead of vertically, stimulates growth. Interesting

It does, look at this thread I started with 2 birdsnest the one to the right I laid on its side, I feel like they grow better on the side but it's also much easier to set frags, you can glue over them to lock them down, unlike planting them like a tree.

I love this J.f enchanted forest birdsnest, I love the green trunk it makes regular birds nest look brown . Some don't think there is a difference in his corals, I've read a few blaming it on camera tricks and im sure there's some but I have a few signature corals and there is a noticeable...
