gluing drain pipe to sump bulkhead

Is it necessary to glue these pieces? It seems like the water should just drop right into the sump. I'd like to keep the sump as "re-sellable" as possible.

I would say yes, to avoid saltcreep or tiny tiny leaks.

If you want to keep it resellable, use threaded fittings there with the correct thread sealant, not Teflon tape.
 
Could always try it first see what happens. If it leaks which it doesn't look like it will, then you could fix them
 
I try and leave the last section going into my sump unglued, as long as it is over the sump so if it did leak, it wouldn't leak into the stand.
Makes it much easier to break down and move, and as you said, re-sellable.
 
Center and left look like male/female PVC fittings with an O ring? Glue the 45 into the male fitting, but the O ring should seal fine. Right is a bulkhead and you should solvent weld in the 45. Bulkheads are easy/cheap to replace.
