Gluing GSP on back glass

I did not put on glass just overflow box by leaning rock against it and it spread pretty quickly.

Small pieces and just stay on top of cutting it back when it starts to go down on the sand or anywhere you dont want it. I think its really neat and adds a unique dimension to the tank. I have not done it with my new set-up but i did do it on an old 6 gallon nano cube and loved it.

I feel if I maintain it my tank should be fine but it’s just my thoughts. But I like the idea of maybe breaking it down in small pieces
It actually is pretty easy to keep control of it. It's not like it magically transports large pieces of itself across your tank.
I also found it tends to grow up.

I'd like to try this on the overflow box. trying to figure out a good way to get some pieces off the rock. Haven't tried yet.

It's tough to peel gsp off rocks. Usually you need to find someone who has it already growing on glass or acrylic that can peel you off a flat piece.

I,m happily surprised I got some real good pieces ! I used small scissors to work it between the gps mat & rock. I'm sure I lucked out as the rock it was on was fairly smooth.

Ok, I super glued 4 pieces on the overflow. If I don't like it or it causes any probs I'll scrape it off. We shall see ! The stuff isn't blocking the teeth ,it's just the reflection.

I've always had problems getting gsp to stick with glue to my back glass. Seems to always fall off after a bit. I've had better luck with putting the gsp on a magnetic frag rack and letting the gsp spread to the glass on its own. One tip is to start the gsp very low on the glass because I've found it grows upward and not down.
Also here's a good another good tip... Aiptasia X kills gsp. Whenever it spreads to unwanted places just hit it with the X.
BTW i love gsp! :D

Can I get an update on this? Curious how it turned out. Any struggles? Thanks in advance!

Put a glob of glue on the gsp, then when you stick it to the glass just rub it around in a small circle and dab at it till it sticks. That is how I got mine on there

Yeah just curious how the GSP turned out and any struggles or successes OP may have had along the way. I feel like many of these old threads can have a ton of hindsight to share that may not have been available at the time of post.
