I'm starting my aquascape tonight and was wondering what people use to glue their rocks together. Certain rocks i want secured with glue. Also how long after you glue can you fill with water?

Just need a good brand that you know works.

I am not an expert by any means but I think the best way to secure the rocks is to use a masonry bit to make holes and run securing rods through the rocks. Then for attaching reef safe epoxy is also used. I don't think glue is used for putting together aquascapes but maybe someone more experienced can chime in.

Yeah my rock is to brittle to drill into. gluing is only option. Just want to glue a couple overhang pieces connecting one structure to another

Call me a newbie guys but i don't have anything adhering my rocks to each other. I simply wedged then to each other and call it done.

Same here, it really depends on the aquascape you're going for and the type of rock you have...

im the same way but its really hard to put something together thats unique without worrying about everything toppling over!
I agree. I was very fortunate. Although my dry rock made my cycle go longer, ur was easy to aquascape due to the key largo rock. Not very local but I live in palm Beach County. So it's not super outta range

. No glue

I used Marco Rocks E400 cement. Stuff works great and allows you to do some really nice structure without having to drill.

I just tried stonefix from Aquaforest for there reason that epoxy kept breaking lose when I was clean my rock with a tooth brush. I seem to be a hydraulic cement that is reef safe. I re glued my piece in the tank and if seems to be holding.

For smaller pieces, I use crazy glue gel with/without aquamend putty. Building overhangs with heavier rocks, I use acrylic rods.
