WOW! That FTS is INSANE! I love this! Please definitely keep us updated!

hey lets get an update here :)

What are you doing for flow and are you dosing anything?

Also what are you keeping your parameters at?

Your tank looks great, wish mine looked that good. I have had my tank going for just a bit more than 19 months. Finally water chemistry is under control. Just concerned about lighting. I have 2 AP700s over my 180 gallon Tank. I recently changed my lighting schedule as I never got the coral growth I thought I should have. As a matter of fact I have had several corals bleach. I am running almost totally Blue. No white light. I am running my lights for about 8.5 hours a day, peak is 55% . I need your opinion on Lighting Schedules.

Tank Specifics:

60 Inches in Length
29 inches in Depth
Tank Type: Peninsula, Acrylic
Lights are 10 Inches off Water (Cannot be raised or Lowered) - I looked at Kessile Specs - this height seemed right
Water Temp about 80 degrees F
Coral Types - Mainly Softies (Japanese Toadstool (it has split 3-4 times), zoas, hammerhead

The fish are doing Great. Just concerned my lighting is not optimal. Ideas?
I think I have a good Flow rate

April 2019

Hello Reeffers,

Its been a while since I have made any updates to my thread (been busy growing corals... lol ;Happy)
Tank is doing well, knock on the wood ;).
Made a few improvements to my system since 2018:
1. Changed over my lights to 6 Radions Gen 4 Pro;
2. To increase flow in my tank, since corals are growing, I added 2 MP60

Ok... enough talks... lets show you some recent pictures.

1. ASD Dumsday
2. ORA Pearlberry
3. ASD Raibow Milli
4. JF Homewrecker
5. Strawberry Wine
6. RRC Pretty in pink
7. Side View of my tank

Hey Their,
Just posted an update :)
To answer your questions: For flow- My flow consists of closed loop with Ocean Motion, 2 MP 40 and 2 MP 60
Automated Dosing - CA, Mg, and Alk only. Manual dosing of Iodine (inconsistently, whenever I remember ;))

My Parameter are:
CA -420-440
Alk-7.5- 8.5
Mg-1350-1400
No3 -5-10 (closer to 10)
PO4 - 0.05-0.08

Wheres the Bill Murray at? lol
Hi Zach,
Bill Murray has received prime real state in my tank and has been doing well.
Started to encrust and grow, but has not yet colored up yet. Probably will take little bit more time.
Thanks for a good quality coral.
Sorry, photo has been taken with my iPhone .

Hello @Young@Heart,
Thanks for the compliment.
Sorry, I am not much familiar with AP700. Always had Radions in my tank, and it is mostly SPS.
As far as I know, softies do not require strong light intensity. My advise, if you can get your hands on the Par Meter, it would help to determine how strong is your light.

Softies would probably require about 100-180 Par. Hope this helps.
I would also try to start a thread and ask other reefers that have the same light for soft corals.
