Go-to quick resource site?

If you are in a LFS and you see something you like.. and you want to quick-research.. what are some good sites to look at that are accurate as possible in either or both pricing and care requirements?

I am finding many sites are at opposite ends of the ropes with info, and not sure which one to trust most. I got burned by a site when I purchased a fish last week, and I don't want to make the same mistake.

Of course, experience by other members are the best, but some people don't want to wait or have time to wait for others to respond to a topic at a store.

L.A is pretty accurate for both. Just remember both they and the LFS are trying to sell!

Exactly. My lfs told me one fish would be perfect for my tank- quick glance said it was ok. But after further research it was a big nope. Just trying to avoid that again

I can not think of any off hand. I usually do a search for "care and feeding" of what ever animal I want to know more about. Great question! With today's phones, we should be able to quickly find out what we need to know online, even while we're in the store. What a resource.

I like to look at several sources, to see if they are in agreement or not. Some are more realistic (true) than others.
