Diamond gobies are one of the better options. Even though they move a lot of sand and bury somethings, they bury a lot less than other sand sifters.

Good to see a pair getting along. Are they male and female? I was under the impression they are aggressive within its species.

Diamond gobies pr up very easily, but once paired are pretty intolerant of conspecifics.

Since my diamond has interspeciesly "paired" up with my firefish, if I added a 2nd diamond would the firefish then begin getting beat up/kicked out?

Most burrowing fish are tolerant of firefish/dartfish.
