Gobis that eat leftovers for 20 g

Slightly smaller than a diamond, might work?

- Plenty of sand
- Minimum one cave/home on the sandbed
- super cool fish
- only negative is they will turn your tank into snow globe.

Hi,
I have a 20 gallon high and is there a gobi that can eat leftover food I have a lot of leftover food on the bottom. If so can you list some.

A goby us most likely too small for your tank.

If you could find a species that is 2"-3" would work.

Maybe try 10 dwarf hermits.

Almost cool as fish unless you don't like inverts

yea im gonna disagree with you about the gobies as ive seen them lastt a long tie in a bunch of tanks. maybe your experience is different but in mine, they are super hardy fish.

I have a goby I collected and added while the tank was cycling (almost a non-cycle as I seeded bacteria pretty well). He was tiny and has doubled in size over the last couple of months. Picture below. He eats anything I put in the tank, and gets along well with all the hermits, cerithium and nassarius snails. With all that I have no problems with leftover food.

Most goby species remain fairly small around 1-3”. It’s only really the Sand Sifters and “watchman’s” that get 4-6”.

I’d say snails are better as they aren’t aggressive compared to hermits. And arguably do a better job.

Yep! Wheeleri stay nice and small, plus they have a great personality.
