So I have a yasha white ray shrimp goby and banded pistol shrimp and I have a question. They have been in the tank for a little over a week. So the goby and shrimp are only coming out for feeding time. Then shutting themselves inside their burrow. Is this normal or will they become a bit more active over time?

Yup that is normal. The pistol maybe molting as well, they tend to molt soon after acclimation.

Just picked up a pistol shrimp (no goby yet) a few days ago. I actually special ordered it in August but I guess they didn't follow through with that, so I randomly stopped by and they had just got one in so I was like hey give me that before you put it in your tank!!

You guys think adding a goby in a week or so will be a problem? Hoping to have them pair up pretty quickly.

How long it takes to find one another might depend on the size of the tank, other than that I see no problem.
