goby and shrimp playing hard to get-.-

so i recently added a yellow watchman goby to my 29gallon set up along with a tiger pistol shrimp, going for the symbiotic relationship...and these kids are playing hard to get with eachother! they are literally in burrows less than 2inches apart and nothing! its been about 3 days anyone have any advice on how i could speed this up?

From what I understand it just takes time. .. and as with everything saltwater patience!

Its been 4 days for mine and no pair yet. The goby was trying but the shrimp was under a rock. The fish was waiting patiently until feeding time came and he forgot about the shrimp. The last pair I had paired instantly once they saw each other.

I had these two gobies living with their shrimp

Then this guy came along and kidnapped their shrimp

So I got another shrimp and those 2 gobies moved back with him. Then this guy came along and kidnapped that shrimp, so I ordered another shrimp

thanks for responses!
yea its driving me crazy, and since they havent (met) yet the shrimp is still a little skiddish so i dont see him very often.
but itll happen soon and hopefully i can find a male watchman for my female! i can tell shes a girl cuz shes already getting that darker tint!

Try blocking off one of the burrows. I would try to block off the goby from its burrow in hopes that it would shack up with the shrimp. I'm sure they will figure it out.
