Goby compatibility

They should be fine as long as the tabk is 10+ gallons. I’d recommend getting a court jester captive bred from @AlgaeBarn or another biota supplier, so you have one that will take prepared foods
Yeah it’s a 25 lagoon, I may upgrade to a 40 soon also. The captive bred coming on algae barn is what sparked this post! I was planning on that.

Those are literally the next two fish i want to get (along with a pistol shrimp to pair with the watchman). With the plan of getting the Jester from AB. Thx for asking the question!

Wild rainford gobies have very specialized diets, they need a combo of filamentous algae and pods. CB is the way to go.
Also, I would wait until the tank is mature before adding the rainford to build up your pod population. Maybe consider adding a small fuge in the back chamber, which will give the pods a safe place to populate. (If you don't have one already?)
Just some things to think about.
Both fish are great and are fun to watch.

Already have just the thing! Seeded with algae barn pods a month ago. I have plenty of algae for it to graze on right now :/ another reason I am considering it
