have a 75 gallon deep blue rimless. currently have a yashia haze goby and decided to add a pretty small pistol shrimp paired with a orange spotted diamond goby. After acclimation and added to the tank, my Yashia goby decided to pounce on my pistol shrimp then commence to tear it apart and eat it. i asked another FS that i frequent and he told me that that was a possibility because it wasn't paired with that pistol shrimp and also because the yashia goby was larger that the orange diamond and the pistol shrimp. I told the sales person at the store about my life stock prior to the purchase so i called the LS where i purchased it from and they said the never heard such a thing before. Has anyone had any similar situation or heard of this?

I have NEVER heard of that before, yasha gobies are pretty mellow fish, not to mention they are so small I just couldnt picture one of them eating a pistol shrimp...Not to mention pistol shrimp DO have a defense against things like that

I had a watchman goby eat a pretty good sized tiger pistol shrimp as soon as I added it to the tank. It was sticking out of the goby's mouth and snapping. It took a while but the goby choked it down.
