This is a thread for a things Goby related. They have one for angels and wrases why not one for a goby I personally do not have one but plan to get one still choosing so many choices! Thread for all things goby related. You can also talk a little about Pistol Shrimps.

I have a total of 6-7 gobies (Two are MIA currently). Here’s some photos of the group :)
Most recent to my oldest;
Cryptocentrus cinctus & Alpheus bellulus (Currently MIA as they were only introduced to my 4’ three days ago)

Stonogobiops yasha (This is my oldest by 2 years and 4 months).

The Yellow Watchman is the only one that is in my 4’ the rest of them are in my RS max nano with 3 other fish.

Wow! What species is in the last photo?
It’s a Stonogobiops yasha, the Yasha Goby and surprisingly I believe it’s outlasting the average lifespan (Many last 2 years in captivity with only a couple getting around 3 years). It’s like my griessinger Goby, I believe they only last a year and he’s a year and a month old to my knowledge.

intresting

Gobies always scare me a little the idea of not knowing if you still own the fish or if you should get another goby.
Totally agree! I was cautious when adding my Black Clown Gony around November but once you add your second you begin to get an idea of what temperament your current one is and whether you can add it or not.

I think when I choose a favorite goby I will get one!

I think they’re a necessity! Fit for all tank sizes, even small 5 gallons :)
I’m actually surprised I didn’t get a goby for my 4’ until this previous weekend.
