Goby scratching on rock?

Flukes and ich will spread. You can treat the DT for flukes. I never had issues with prazi in the DT. Ich needs a qt. Copper is not friendly.

Edit: Research FW dips. I don't want to be the one to tell you to do this. But look for information about it and see if its something you are willing to do. FW will dislodge the flukes from the fish. And you'll see them at the bottom of the container.
I lost a pink margin wrasse to flukes. Hard lesson learned. I will hate flukes forever. My fault, as I never had to deal with flukes until that purchase. Long story.

Freshwater dips, as some have said. If they don't survive a freshwater dip, they weren't going to live much longer.

My wrasse died after the dip. He was infested.

He looks good. I'm sure whatever treatment he needs. He will recover well.

Thank you for this information, very helpful.

He is still eating reasonably well.

Couple of questions...

If this is flukes or ICH and I were to leave my goby in my DT and see if he can pull through is there a chance that this will spread to my clownfish or any other fish I add?

If he survives does that mean the parasites are dead/eradicated or does it mean he still has them but he is just able to survive with them.

I guess I am asking if I leave him in my DT will I be making problems for myself down the line. I was just about to put in an order for 5x quarantined wrasse I want to add all together and would feel awful if I introduce them to an environment that makes them sick.
ich (and i believe flukes) are contagious. however there are anecdotal methods to build up fish immunity. i'd look into paul b's methods, he does that with great success.

if he survives the ich will always be in the system, but your fish will have built up an immunity to them. however this relies on the fish being healthy all of the time (being fed the proper diet with the right tankmates) and it is a delicate balance either way.

the wrasse should probably wait either way. if you quarantine your dt will need to be fallow anyways for ich, and building immunity takes time too. i'm not super knowledgeable on anything other than ich. i'd look into + try a fw dip though and see if that helps if it's flukes.

Hi everyone, thought I would update.

Goby is doing well. I've been keeping a close eye on him and I am now not convinced whether I see the spots around his fins as white dots (parasites) or as his pattern, it's difficult to tell.

He's eating heaps so I have decided to leave him in the tank and just try to take care of him as I am not 100% convinced he has Ich or Flukes.

I am starting to suspect that the weird motions he was doing up on the rocks were not scratching as I have seen him up on the rocks again a bit but he hasn't done the same motion. He also hasn't been scratching on sand and I haven't seen him coughing.

I wonder whether he was up on the rocks there because it is close to where my fire shrimp hangs out and he wanted a clean? I noticed the fire shrimp absolutely going to town on my goby yesterday down on the sand bed and managed to get a (low quality) video of it.
Goby was lying upside down and letting the shrimp clean his gills area before flipping over at the end, pretty cool.
Video linked below.

Thanks again for everyone's advice, it's the first potential disease I have dealt with so it was much appreciated.
