I bought my randalls about a week ago. I added my tiger pistol shrimp last night. I dropped the shrimp right in front of my goby and i know he saw the shrimp because he watched him climb the rock and went up to him then ran back to his spot under the rock. So the goby spends all day under the same rock and doesnt move at all unless it sees food.

This morning i see the shrimp made his hole RIGHT in front of thee goby but the goby still stays in his same spot... Will they pair up or is this a failure?

Heres the pic, the goby is to the middle right and the shrimps hole is on the middle left.. I guess thats where the shrimp is, that hole wasnt there until i put him in.

Yes they will eventually pair up(can't be 100percent sure, but it usually happens),if they havent already. They just have to get use to each other.

When I put my pair w/ my shrimp, I dug a small hole under a rock with my finger, and put both of them in there. They all lived in that cave for quite a while without any interaction from me. It worked like a charm.
