Happy New Year everyone!!! So I have a 12 gallon biocube. I had one little goby in it for a while. Tiny tiny goby. I finally added two tiny blue damsels. The goby always hid but when I put the damsels in they hid all the time too. I’d have to move rocks to find them but I figured they just hid during the day and came out at night. Well I haven’t seen them in about a week or so so I decided to do a water change and take the rocks out to find them. I couldn’t find them anywhere. They weren’t in the tank when I took the rocks out. I got a flashlight and looked all through the rocks and couldn’t find them. They can’t get into the filter. There’s no sign of them anywhere. I wouldn’t think the goby could eat them because they were bigger but I don’t know what else could’ve possibly happened to them. Any thoughts?

Sorry to hear that. Do you have a clean up crew like snails and crabs? If so, they clean up the remains from fish.

I have a few very tiny crabs. I look at that tank morning and night and throughout the day everyday is there a way they could’ve possibly eaten two fish that quickly?

I also don’t get how both damsels could’ve gone missing at the same time. I’d get if one died then the other or if something wiped out the whole tank but they were in there for a couple weeks with no problem then bam they’re gone

Yep, crabs can clean crazy fast. But it could be something off in your water parameters. Make sure to check them if everything is normal.
