i have a pink doted goby is it normal to not see him for along time i have alot of rock in the tank and it can not jump out of the tank i fixed that when one of my clowns took the leap

When did you get it? What else is on the tank with it?

has been in there for 3years and just some clowns 3 tangs i got a pistol shrimp so i think they may be hiding somewhere

My pink spotted goby, 4 years in tank...
Disappears for no more then a day or 2

Yeah gobys do that and it could be showing itself in a different part that is unseen in the tank. Like a cave you cannot see.
I had to redo my rocks so that I could view my pistol and goby pair they set up shop in the very back so I only saw them once in a while when I fed I moved the rocks and was so happy they picked a rock that is dead center of the tank.
