Hello,

I will be away from my home for 2-3 weeks for business so there will be nobody home to do daily maintenance to the tank (and feed my one clownfish).

My friends live half an hour away from my home so I can't ask them to come every day, the maximum that I can ask for is that my friend would come every 3-4 days, which should be enough to refill the topping (I'm using an automatic one, but it needs to be refilled). And will also ask to check water parameters every 7-8 days.

Light is no problem, I'll buy an electrical timer that will time the light from morning to evening.

But the main problem is food.. the automatic feeders are all for big tanks, I only have one fish so he only needs a few grains of food (doing 4 grains, two times a day).

Any idea's? Should I built something custom for this?

Thanks!

I just went away for 3 weeks and came back to my tanks looking fairly well. I did have someone coming by every other day to supplement feeding, but I would have been alright with my auto feeder if he hadn't. Look into the Eheim Feed Air Automatic Feeder. It has a door on it that you can have only barely open, by taping it down. I believe you could get it to only dispense as few as 10 or so small pellets. A clown would be able to eat all of that at one time.

10 sounds a lot to me, or do you mean that I only should feed once a day then?

Wow , this thing is 100$
I wonder if there is a cheaper solution. I'm not going to travel for a long time after this.
