Going away for easter for a few days fish feeders

Hey yall

im going away with fam for Easter probably for a weekend, and im staying at Myrtle beach so we're traveling about 3hrs to and from the beach from home, and Im curious as to what i do for my fish?

i got an Automatic fish feeder but im not sure if it works? the battery basic type, is there anything else i can get them fed for a few days while im gone?

29Gallon tank, 2 clowns, 1 chromish starfish and 3 snails, and i feed them small pellets about twice a day

If it's just the weekend the tank will be fine going a couple days without food.

I used an automatic fish feeder one time. That was the last time I use an automatic fish feeder..
But if you want to use the fish feeder, set it up and see if it does work and test it off the tank and make sure it dispenses the right amount of food. Let it run before you go so you are confident before you leave.

Yeah exactly I would be afraid to use the cheap one I got, I'd either have to buy a better one that I can adjust and set to dispense the proper amount of food so the ammonia woukdnt spike and nuke my tank! I'll probably have a cleaner shrimp or so by the time we go in a few weeks so he'd probably scavenge the left overs but if the tank would be okay without food for 3days max? I guess it'd be alright if hate to come back to a nuked tank

Agreed if it's just a couple days, you'd be fine without feeding. But if you want to feed, and your auto feeder isn't trust worthy, check this one out. I would recommend getting it ahead of time and testing it out so you can get the correct dispense amount you want before hand. Enjoy the trip.

I agree, skip the feedings while you are out.

Unless you have some unusual fish that I can't even think to name off the top of my head, there's a good chance your fish will actually benefit from going several days without more added food while you're gone.

There are very few established tanks that I feed every single day; once a week is pretty typical; some I will even feed once every other week or even less.

YMMV, but worth thinking about.

Also important but less interesting: while you're at vacation is the wrong time to try out any new piece of hardware.
