I've had a run in with brook and ich that killed a couple fish this week. I've removed all the fish into QT and treating with quick cure right now. Instructions say to dose for three days which is what I'll do. Question is should I then run copper afterwards if I still see signs?

I currently have coral, shrimps, and snails in DT. After leaving my DT fishless for 10 weeks, will all my beneficial bacteria go away? Will it be at same level it once was before?

I'll be feeding alot less since no fish...Only coral food..and maybe some for the shrimps and snails? Any advice here too?

Depending on answers for above I guess, after treatmennt and observation, I can either add fish slowly back to DT or can bring them all back?

Thanks for any info.

Quick Cure contains formalin and that should treat brook, but your fish will need 30 days in copper to clear them of ich.

Your bacteria levels will undoubtedly be reduced, but you can minimize this by continuing to spot feed your corals/inverts and also dropping in a pinch of flake/pellets every 2-3 days.

Add the fish back slowly, to allow bacteria levels to readjust to their former population. Take 2-3 weeks to get all the fish back in.

Do I run carbon or water change in between transitioning from quick cure to copper?
