After a recent outbreak of ich and velvet I’m going fallow. After reading all the posts on this topic, when I do water changes should I blow my rock with a turkey baster or leave it alone. What are your thoughts.

you should try to blow off your rock with any water change. water change will not help the fallow period. I would just maintain your parameters for the 72 days. That is what I did and everything was fine.
