So this is my first time going fallow because I there’s a parasite that’s killing my fish. But when gaping fallow what’s are some dos and donts! I know I’m allowed to keep the coral and crabs/snails in it but am I still allowed to feed the corals phytofeats. But would I need to dose anything in the dt when I do this or just let it be fallow for 76 days? And should I put a little food in the tank to keep the water bio load going since there will be no fish in it? Please feel free on what you guys thinks new to going fallow!

You can add anything except fish. However everytime you add a new specimen your fallow day starts from day zero because the new specimen may introduce new parasites. If you have living creatures you don’t need to provide any other source of ammonia. I would probably add a bottle of bacteria in a bottle when you get ready to put the fish back. Increase your temp to 80 to speed up the parasite life cycle.

what? that could mess with corals, just leave fish out for the fallow period. OP can feed at a reduced amount for CUC.

Basically just treat the tank as normal, except without any fish in it. Don’t add anything new as that would just reset the fallow clock.
