I've done SPS, LPS, etc but want to dedicate my newest tank to a full on softy tank. Mainly due to less equipment involved, dosing, etc and I've always loved to watch the corals sway in the current. Plus I'm busy with a 3 kids that take up most of my day. So far I have a nice green Nepthea, and green/purple Capnella sp. I've sold some corals and I'm left with some frogspawn, Duncan's and some SPS. What else should I add? Looking for suggestions. Thanks! Pic of my 60 cube for reference...

Agreed on the toadstool. Live aquaria has a couple different partially-photosynthetic Stereonephthya that have always looked interesting to me. The purple Plexaura flexuosa is beautiful. And of course Tubipora musica.

Great ideas so far. Green polyp or Tyree toadstool on the list as well as Blue Symphodium. Also like the yellow figi leather.

Thats what I was going to suggest actually... The second link. My brother had one and it was much nicer than that picture lets on. I wanted a frag of it but totally forgot when he broke down his tank.

A few places have something like it (just saw it on reefgardener.net) but hard to say if its exactly the same. I would send the vendor that link and ask if theirs looks like that.

How about a mini maxi or rock flower anemones?
There are some really interesting mushrooms available these days.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned one of my favorite coral groups........Zoas!

The color patterns and intensity are just out of this world!

Bright colorful zoas beat brown toadstools any day of the week.

He mentioned swaying in the current. Not a lot of movement on zoas.

Gonna be honest with you here, soft coral was not what came to mind when I read your title... just sayin. It's been one of those days... I personally love Ricordeas.

I have to agree with the ricordeas, they come in so many bright colors. I would also suggest yellow fiji

Green finger leathers can be very impressive. Toadstools can be a great center piece as others have mentioned. I would get some GSP going in the tank too. Xenia are obviously super easy and fill up space with some nice movement. Kenya Trees are also easy and get large but tend to frag themselves so can be a pain. Grab some pallys and mushrooms too!
