I just bought a used fish tank. It has a massive coral insert that while I think it’s a really great looking one, I’ll be building a live rock, real coral reef.

I for the life of me cannot get it out however. It’s very thick and firm. Doesn’t budge. I tried this saw. And have very little to no progress. Anyone have experience with this, that can offer some advice? Like I said, I know it’s a stretch, but I’m at my wits end

Wow...did they build the tank around this thing?

I would try drilling a bunch of holes (larger the better) to create a weakened 'seam' across a section. Then it'll either break on it's own (doubt that happens, no one's that lucky) or at least make it easier for the saw to cut through.

Following that...explosives? Good luck!

Haha. I got fairly angry and considered TNT earlier. The holes are a good idea. I will try that. Thanks!
