Hello R2R!! I’ve been keeping aquariums for 20 years now. I started with freshwater and made my first jump into salt when i was 16. Started with a few pieces of LR and a couple of fish and gradually worked into starting a reef. My first reef was a 10 gallon and then within a year or so went to a 20, then a 75 and ended with my 125. That tank was running for about 5 or 6 years. At that time we had a newborn and a toddler. Time, money and space were scare so i decided to shut it down and the tank became home to cichlids and is currently guppies, red cherry shrimp and a few plants. So, now we’re at the present day. I’ve not enjoyed the hobby as much since returning to fresh water. I’ve been debating and researching the last few months and it seems some things have changed since I’ve been away. I think i have decided i do not want such a large tank so today i purchased a 40B and a 29 gallon for a sump. The only thing i might regret is not having as many fish and really narrowing my selection down. Ive been watching a lot of BRS tv and just want a nice and simple tank. I’m planning on the sump to pretty much just be a fuge. I want a few softies and a handful of LPS and try and keep it stocked light and have decent sized colonies instead of many frags. Anyway, that was very long winded so I’m sorry for that. Looking forward to talking to you!
