Hello all,

We've been out of power for a few days, but we have a generator that we keep on during the day, so the filters can keep going most of the time.

My anemone has just moved from the center of the rock towards the left side, is this a sign that something bad is happening? Should I feed it? Is there anything that I can do to help it?

It's a pretty big anemone, I would say at least 8 inches probably more.

Thanks,
Will

You want to keep the water moving with surface agitation to keep oxygen in the water column. Your nem might be looking for a few things most likely light, oxygen and as you guessed food. How is your water temp and salinity?

It just means something has changed.

It could just be that the anemone not getting flow at night anymore has convinced it that its spot is no longer appropriate.

How does it look otherwise?

It's smaller, but it doesn't look ill or anything, here's a pic.

Temp: 78 and salinity is 1.025
You should be okay as long as you have water movement and heat you that should be good. You could even go without light for a little while and things will be fine.
