Hi first post my tank is 26" deep x26" wide and 36 long I have some sps and lps any help would be appreciated

I have a 24” deep tank with a 250w se reflector and ruining a radium. I get about 250par 1’ below the light. I may change it to a 400w se with radium bulb.

I have a 400 watt I wasn't sure if it would be over kill

The 400watt will grow corals allot quicker than the 25ow MH bulb. It will also color up some sps allot better than the 250w MH's. The only downfall of the 400Watt MH's is the heat. How man 400W MH's are you placing over the aquarium? If only one, I would personally go with the 400Watt MH. That would be the best choice IMO.

If your par is to high raise fixture if possible. I would go 400w and should be fine.

Yeah I ordered a 20 k ha Alton I don't have a par meter I'll just have to watch every thing to see if they like pedant height thanks for the input
