Have a look at my build thread, I've got a custom media basket that I made for myself which works beautifully, directs the flow a lot better than the intank ones imo. There's also a thread called "show your Fluval Evo" which has a TON of different ideas!

Lots of ways to run these as said above, I pulled everything out of the back and replaced the return pump with an Eheim 600, with just 2 clowns you shouldn't need a skimmer just watch your feeding.
