I mine for gold algae. Once it rust out, I throw it away.

If you can take the rock out and put some hydrogen peroxide on it and scrub it with a brush has worked for me.

I have also used Reef Flux , I got mine from P.A. It's a Antifungal fish medication it is used for Biropsis algea and hair algae good luck .

I think it is some kinda of mustard algea, is what I think you are talking about. It looks yellow/greenish color correct?

Yeah throw a bunch of chemicals at it, not sure what it is but yes drop bombs in your tank for bryopsis good advice
