Gold Brown Algae on Sandbed wont go away

Does anyone have any experience with gold, brownish algae on the sandbed. I have slowly vacuumed most of my sand bed, but am wondering if anyone knows what this is and how to cure this.

I have this same stuff or something very similar pop up as well. Looks and acts very similar to cyano, but treatment with ChemiClean doesn't do anything. Performing a 2-3 day blackout with UV sterilizer on does seem to hit it back, but will quickly pop back up after the main lights are put back on their normal schedule.

Not sure what it is at this point, but I do have slightly elevated nutrient levels that is likely fueling it but I am working on bringing these back down into range, but so far nothing else seems to knock it out. Also to note my fox face, tang, and snails so far have completely ignored it.

black out is one way. Only when you turn on the lights have a reduced duration then adjust to things thrive and it stays away.

A refugium with macro algaes helps also.

I have it as well. Like others, slightly elevated nutrients. N 20, P.13

Not really problematic so far. Sand vacuum every couple weeks.
Dr. Tim Waste Away knocked it back, but not out.

Diatoms. Vacuuming did nothing for mine. Sand rinse knocked it out. 6 years of not cleaning sand in my case. Im barebottom now and aint nevaaa lookin back lol.

So I did a nitrate and phosphate test( Hanna checker) and both came out very low. Phosphate almost undetectable. This makes me believe that the algae or whatever is consuming this stuff, and another thing is that the brown/golden stuff only grows where the light hits the sandbed not in the shaded areas. I have Chaeto growing in my hob refugium but it grows very slow, making me think that the algae in the tank is out competing it

I get this on the sand and glass.from what I have been hearing from others is it might be the cheap led lights I'm using. one of the pet stores i go to was using the same light. they removied because of algae. corals grow good but so does algae.

This stuff is the teardown tank kind of annoying. I've only had it when using carib-sea bimini pink sand. Never got a hint of it with barebottom.
