Gold Nugget x Lighting Maroon actually turn gold

Been out of the hobby for awhile. Does anyone have the cross between the nugget and the lighting maroon? I am wondering if they actually turn gold like the nugget or if they stay white like the lighting. Thank you and happy reefing!

Probably a mix or slightly leaning toward whichever has stronger genetics. I think breeding a chain of designer clowns is more like an expedited process of creating new dog breeds. Where desireable traits are kept in colonies that are then bred again and again while anything unwanted is removed from the gene pool, getting a solid line of clownfish lineage in the process.

I have one. He is just over a year old and he is starting to get the gold around his face and its slowly darkening!
