I have a pair that have been together for quite a few years. they get along great and share a bubble anemone. Has anyone had luck with these fish reproducing? They are housed in my 92 gal reef.

If you want them to spawn the best thing to do is move them to a breeding system, from there you can employ some techniques that will help stimulate them to spawn. Believe it or not reef tanks are not ideal for getting fish to spawn. Yes a lot of people have had and will have fish that spawn in a reef, but you can make ideal conditions in a breeding system without having ill effects on your reef.

If you give them plenty of food they will eventually lay some eggs for you in your reef tank. Try to put a cheap home depot tile next to their anemone. They will appreciate a clean flat place to lay their eggs. If they don't lay for a period clean off the tile every once in a while so they have a clean surfact to lay. If they look like they are hosting a different area then move the tile to that area. Then when they lay you will be able to remove the eggs without a problem and can try to raise some of the babies in a separate tank! :)
