Gold walling hammer not looking too good

Here's a pick

Front half of the hammer looks terrible. Back half looks ok

The rest of my lps look fine.

pH is around 7.8-7.9
Nitrate doesn't even register on API test kit, as well as test strips.
Don't have an alk test

Any thoughts?

I suggest you get an alk test asap. Thats pretty much THE most important parameter to keep stable in a reef and many tank crashes are caused by alk swings.
