Can i house a single golden bar maroon with a pair of oc clowns in a 130g??

I have a pair of lightning maroon clowns with a pair of oc clowns in my 180 tank.. they don't seem to bother each other at all

I guess golden bars are most agressive of all clowns, thats what iv heard.

Mine are also all under a year so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.. I would assume with that much space in the tank they would be fine though

Maroon clowns get very territorial as they mature. It could work, at least for a time, as long as each has their own "territory" in the tank, but things could change long term.

I personally wouldn't risk it, but if you do...just be prepared to remove it down the line if things get ugly.

You can mitigate aggression and interaction somewhat if you give each species of clown their natural host anemone and house them on opposite sides of the tank. For example, the maroon will gravitate towards a BTA, while the ocellaris could live in a magnifica, mertensii or gigantea.

Also, if you can somehow place a rock wall between the two, where the clowns can't see each other, your rate of success will increase.

Oh ok. I guess thats why my oc clowns never hosted bta. Isnt magnificia very difficult?

Magnifica are oftentimes hard to acclimate, and many times need to be QTed and treated with an antibiotic to increase the rate of success. However, once acclimated they are extremely hardy.
